UPDATING YOUR INSTITUTION

Activate your User ID and PIN - Know it, Use it, Be Responsible for your state financial aid!

Retrieve your User ID and PIN and update your postsecondary institution by choosing "Application Status & Award History" from the menu bar at www.FloridaStudentFinancialAid.org/SSFAD/home/uamain.htm and then under "Initial Student Update" select "Name Address and Institution."

You may change your institution listed on your application at any time.  Not all state-funded programs can be used at all institutions.

If an award notification has been posted to your online account and you and would like to change your institution, you must inform the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) of this transfer no later than August 1 for term one transfers, December 1 for term two transfers, and February 15 for term three transfers for a timely disbursement.  Notices of transfers received by OSFA after these dates could result in funds not reaching the new institution on time.  Transferring from one institution to another could affect the applicant's eligibility for a program award or the amount of the award, as not all state-funded programs can be used at all institutions.

You may view Eligible Institutions by State Program.

POSTSECONDARY INSTITUTION NOT LISTED

Activate your User ID and PIN - Know it, Use it, Be Responsible for your state financial aid!

If you do not see your institution listed in the drop-down on the student application under "Postsecondary Institution you are planning to attend," then your institution is not currently participating in state-funded scholarship and grant programs.  For application submission purposes you may select another institution if you would like to be evaluated for state programs.  You may also select "other" from the drop-down and then type in the name of the institution you plan to attend.  Review the drop-down of institutions to ensure that the institution you seek is listed.  Some names are abbreviated such as "FL" for Florida or "UNIV" for University.

Selecting a postsecondary institution is mandatory for processing of the Initial Student Florida Financial Aid Application.  Retrieve your User ID and PIN to update your institution or any other information when necessary.
