State of Florida Legislative Reporting Requirement

State of Florida Legislative Reporting Requirement
The 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA) proviso language expanded the existing loan volume reporting to include additional student-level data which will assist the Florida Legislature to forecast postsecondary financial aid needs for Florida’s students. The GAA proviso language states:
“Institutions that received state funds in Fiscal Year 2024-2025 for student scholarships or grants administered by the Office of Student Financial Assistance shall submit the following two reports in a format prescribed by the Department of Education; both due by December 1, 2025. A report of the following information by institution,
1) federal loan information, including the total federal loan amounts disbursed and total number of students who received federal loans; and 2) student level data for all grants, scholarships, and awards to students who applied for and/or received state-funded tuition assistance and aid.

Institutions will report the Student Financial Aid Report (SFAR) via Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). To submit the data via SFTP, the data must be sent identical to the Batch File Layout specified in the link below. Please refer to the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Setup link for how to send the SFAR file via SFTP. If your institution needs to be set up on SFTP, please use the link below to request a SFTP connection.
